This site sets no cookies, loads no third-party scripts, and uses no external analytics service. What follows is the whole of it.

What is recorded

When you load a page, this site records the page address, the referring site, your approximate country, your browser and operating system family, your screen size, and your language preference. That data is stored on infrastructure controlled by the lab and is not shared with anyone.

What is not recorded

Your IP address is never stored. To count returning visitors within a single day, the address is combined with a secret value and hashed, and that secret is discarded and replaced every night. The result cannot be reversed into an address, and yesterday's visitors cannot be linked to today's.

Nothing is stored on your device except your choice of colour theme, which stays in your browser and is never transmitted.

Third parties

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which necessarily processes requests in order to serve them. No advertising network, tag manager, social widget, or external analytics provider is present on any page.

The contact form

What you type into the contact form is stored so it can be read and answered, along with the country the request came from. Nothing else is attached to it, and it is used to reply to you and for nothing else. Messages are deleted once they have been dealt with.

To stop one sender flooding the form, submissions are counted against the same one-day hash described above. It is discarded on the same nightly schedule.
